Pricing

How Quantica prices it

War-risk premium is priced dynamically per voyage, segment and exposure window. Each route segment carries a base rate, modified by a live geopolitical multiplier, vessel vulnerability profile, time-on-risk, accumulated exposure in the corridor, and the cost of ceded reinsurance and held capital.

The same engine produces the additional premium quoted to the broker, the ceded share to the war reinsurer, and the accumulation entry in the capital dashboard.

War Premium = Sum Insured × Base Route Rate × Geopolitical Multiplier × Vessel Vulnerability Multiplier × Duration Multiplier × Accumulation Multiplier × Reinsurance Load × Capital Load × Profit Margin

Reinsurance

Reinsurance considerations

War-risk cover is heavily reinsured. Quantica's engine produces gross and ceded views simultaneously, tracks treaty exhaustion per region, and supports both proportional and excess-of-loss structures. Facultative placements are recorded against the same exposure record.
